Cameron and The Drifter
History
The Drifter was manufactured sometime in the late 1960s early 1970s, by the Tremblay Canoe Company based out of St. Felicien, Quebec. It was built for bigger water and therefore has quite a deep hull design. Not much is known about the history of this particular canoe but it was found at a cottage near Ottawa in 2012. Since then it has been used mostly for day trips up and down the Rideau Canal but yearns to return for a trip on the big water once again.
Repairs and Restoration
Lots of water damage on the bow and stern stems, and the keel needs replacing. The canvas skin is peeling away from gunwales and will need replacing.
